60 Minute Makeover
Since series one I have been involved in the very popular ITV daytime show... 60 Minute Makeover.
During the past 5 years this production has gone from strength to strength achieving some of the most stylish and biggest makeovers seen on TV in the UK.
I am still amazed and brimming over with pride at the end of every show just to see what we have created and achieved, and judging by the warmth of the thankyou letters our efforts are fully appreciated by the contributors whose lives and homes have been transformed!!
This is a mammoth production and takes weeks of planning and organising and is by far the best programme I have worked on so far. There are several reasons for this...
- I get to design at least four rooms of course in the style that the family are going to adore, and fill the viewer with insight, tips and entertainment.
- The amazing people: the "contributors" who all have a personal reason for wanting the makeover many of them with heart-breaking, worthy unforgettable stories.
- The affect we have on the lives of the family living in the homes and to think in 60 minutes we can seriously touch upon many areas of every day life, from installing state-of-the-art brand new kitchens and appliances, turning bedrooms into sumptuous theraputic havens, converting lounges into relaxing stress-free zones, and make dining rooms decorative and desirable to name but a few!!
- It's a perfect platform for me to demonstrate my skills from interior design to my flair for eye-catching colours and patterns, the latest trends, my ease in front of the camera to co-presenting, and my ability to laugh and still remain entertaining when all around seems to be pandemonium!!
