A huge part of my inspiration stems from nature... I adore flowers, plants, trees and the great outdoors, and this is very often evident in a lot of my design schemes. Interiors can really benefit from this; the scent of a beautiful arrangement of flowers can instantly make an environment seem heavenly. Architetural plants such as succulents and cacti can add a strong contemporary statement, and potted house plants create interest and shape to all sorts of surfaces and areas! I truly feel a room isn't completely dressed without some sort of flora or fauna and am always amazed by the benefits this has to different interior styles.
For many years I have been involved in designing events, a lot them weddings which I really love doing as it gives me the perfect opportunity to combine my creative flair with both floral and interior design, usually on a much bigger grander scale as so many weddings require dramatic, showstopping ideas! As I have done so many fantastic weddings and events I feel I have the perfect artistic eye, knowledge of flowers and overall style contribution to make any event that extra bit special...
I like working side by side with the bride and feel its my job to enhance and create the overall theme/style and co-ordination of this special day. I insist on looking at every detail to see wherever possible i can add that extra "something" detailing. The dress, the venue, the layout should all be considered. A wedding enables me to demonstrate all the talent and skill I naturally have and have learnt over many years and therefore create the perfect, most individual, and memorable occasion that is possible.
